Since Power Fuelz opened its doors in Taber’s industrial area in June 2022, business had been good and CEO Neil Websdale hasn’t looked back.
“Fantastic,” said Websdale. “Absolutely fantastic.”
Located at 6003 54 Avenue, Power Fuelz entered the market with the intention of offering something different for customers of bulk fuel and lube.
“Basically, get away from the corporate world and have something that’s locally owned,” said Websdale.
Hallmarks of the business are how they deal with their customers.
“Our service, for sure,” said Websdale. “Definitely service and knowledge.”
Community support has been strong, and Websdale tries to give back where he can.
“Absolutely. It’s huge. Without the community support – and also giving back to the community, which is very important – you don’t have anything. We built our reputations. I’ve been in the industry for 20 plus years, and I have a lot of good relationships. And it’s just exploded, the community support has been overwhelming, for sure.”
Websdale is satisfied with his location, but highway frontage is always attractive.
“The location? Good. Ideally, highway frontage would be better, but that is hard to find here in this town. It’s been working out good.”
Power Fuelz has fall and spring sales where they offer discounts.
“And there’s always the pre-buying and stuff like that, too. Pretty much goes with the industry, I guess,” said Websdale. “We are going to be expanding and opening card locks as well. And then in 2024, we will be having additional locations.”
Websdale likes to give credit where it’s due.
“I just wouldn’t be here today without my supporting cast. That, and community support.”
