Graduating Golden Suns honoured by club

The U18 Taber Golden Suns recognized their graduating players prior to their game on February 18.

Keegan Stenger #1 Goalie

Stenger played 13 years of minor hockey, four being with the Golden Suns. His favourite hockey memory is any trip with the Suns. His plans for the future are to go to college at Lakeland for power engineering.

Conrad Mehlhaff #6 Defence 

Mehlhaff played 13 years of minor hockey, four being with the Golden Suns. His favourite hockey memory is hosting provincials in Vauxhall. His plans for the future are to attend Lethbridge College for business management and to possibly play Junior B hockey.

Berkley Emelson #10 Defence

Emelson played 14 years of minor hockey, one being with the Golden Suns. His favourite hockey memory is coming from the bottom of the league in Atom, to winning the championship against Brooks. His plans for the future are to attend Lethbridge College for the agricultural sciences program, and to continue to play hockey as long as he can.

Hayden Smith #11 Forward

Smith played 14 years of minor hockey, four being with the Golden Suns. His favourite hockey memory is the mom’s trip and karaoke on the bus. His plans for the future are to take a year off and work.

Conner Chapman #14 Forward

Chapman played 13 years of minor hockey, three being with the Golden Suns. His favourite hockey memory is playing in the Alberta Peewee Prospects Cup. His plans for the future are to continue playing hockey, at the junior level.

Landon Howg #19 Forward

Howg played 14 years of minor hockey, one being with the Golden Suns. His favourite hockey memory is meeting teammate Evan Koizumi. His plans for the future are to play Cheads(Coaldale Copperheads) and cows.

Hayden Span #20 Defence

Span played 12 years of minor hockey, one being with the Golden Suns. His favourite hockey memory is playing in an outdoor tournament in Kalispell. His plans for the future are to continue apprenticeship for powerline technician.

Evan Koizumi #22 Forward

Koizumi played 12 years of minor hockey, four being with the Golden Suns. His favourite hockey memory is meeting teammate Landon Howg. His plans for the future are to move up north and work on the rigs.

Kahil Wright #31 Goalie

Wright played 13 years of minor hockey, four being with the Golden Suns. His favourite hockey memory is his entire second year of U13. His plans for the future are to go as far as he can with hockey.
