Taber Gymnastics Fitness Club flying high at first competition

Competition season has started for the Taber Gymnastics Fitness Club attending the first competition of the year in Lethbridge at Westwinds Gymnastics Club on January 20.

We started the first session off with our bronze girls, ages ranging from 7-10. 

Violet Stoddart bringing home 1st place on vault, Zaylee Silver placing 3rd on vault as well. This was the first competition for these girls and they each came home with a medal. Way to go, girls! 

Everly Jensen took home 1st place overall and Miranda Brunn-Ross bringing home 3rd overall (these are based on age categories).

Georgia Nakamura also took home 1st overall as well as Berkley Johnson bringing home 2nd overall!

This is our second year bringing home the banner for Team Champions! This was a great way to kick off the competitive season and I can’t wait to see these bronze girls continue to grow and shine in there gymnastics skills.

Our Silver Level was up next (These scores are also based on age categories)(ranging from 10-12)

On bars, Lauren Visser bringing home 1st place, Cora Brugger with 2nd place, Nikki Kiestra tied for 4th place, Fiona Ypma with 5th place, Gracie Kuryvial with 7th place, and Hailey Lebeuf tied for 8th. 

On beam, Hailey Lebeuf bringing home 3rd place, Lauren Visser tied for 4th, Addyson Jensen with 5th place (in her category) Gracie Kuryvial and Cora Brugger tied for 5th , Livy Rabusic tied for 6th place along with Fiona Ypma.

On Floor, Lauren Visser bringing home 1st place, Addyson Jensen tied for 2nd, Fiona Ypma placing 3rd , Livy Rabusic and Nikki Kielstra tied for 4th place, Cora Brugger and Hailey Lebeuf also received 5th place (in their age category). 

On Vault, Nikki Kielstra brought home 1st place, Lauren Visser as well with 1st place, Addyson Jensen with 2nd place along with Cora Brugger placing 2nd,  Livy Rabusic with 3rd place, Fiona Ypma with 5th and Gracie Kuryvial with 6th place.

Lauren Visser took home 1st place all around, Cora Brugger with 3rd all around, and Fiona Ypma with 7th overall. Addyson Jensen taking home 2nd overall, Nikki Kielstra taking home 4th all around and Hailey Lebeuf with 5th place all around. 

We are so proud to announce that our Silver level also took home the banner for best team. 

Last but definitely not least, our gold athletes also competed. On floor, Madalynn Kuryvial tied for 1st place, Seviya Anderson tied for 2nd place. 

On Vault, Madalynn Kuryvial placing 1st place.

On bars, Madalynn Kuryvial tied for 1st.

On Beam, Madalynn and Seviya both brought home 1st place (based on age categories). 

Madalynn Kuryvial brought home 1st all around. 

We are so incredibly proud of these girls, first competition of the year is one of our favourites as we see the hard work from the four months of training be put to the test, and they nailed it! Bringing home two banners is a huge accomplishment and we hope to keep this momentum going.
