The Central Alberta Hockey League regular season is full steam ahead as Taber Oil Kings teams took to the ice this past weekend.

U11

It was a two-game weekend for the U11 Oil Kings as they hit the ice for both. First up was a road game against Redcliff. In a back-and-forth battle, the Oil Kings were undone by four straight Redcliff goals in the third period as they lost 5-4. Lincoln Braun had all four Taber goals while Ryden Baker chipped in with an assist. Dylan Volk got the start in net for Taber.

Sunday saw the team take on Irvine. No game sheet was available on Monday evening.

U13

There was a single game on the U13 calendar as the Oil Kings hit the road to take on the Coaldale Cobras.

The home team scored early and often en route to a 13-5 victory. Taber saw Mitchell Kimoto score a pair of goals while Logan Rabusic had a goal and an assist, Kash Kover and Dalan Blasetti had a goal each, and Benjamin Williamson, Baron Stand, Wyatt Valgardson, and Seth Jespersen all had one assist. Chance Crowson got the start between the pipes and made 23 saves on 36 shots.

U15

The U15 Oil Kings geared up for two games this past weekend as they took on Foothills and Bow Island.

On Friday night, Foothills came to town and were greeted by a buzz saw as the Oil Kings dominated with a 13-1 win. Lincoln Wiebe led the way with four goals and two assists while Nate Kramer had a hat trick and an assist, Ethan Volk and Skylar Jensen had a goal and three assists, Kellon Schalk and Dawson Reynolds had a goal and an assist each, Ryder Nielsen had three assists, Julian Woordman and Jaxson Badura had a single goal each, and Adeline Williamson found the scoresheet with an assist. Jack Lukacs gained the win in net, turning 28 of 29 shots away.

The scoring continued on Saturday when they hit the road to Bow Island and the Oil Kings once again took the game — this time 7-0. Wiebe had another four goals with Nielsen scoring two, and Woordman had a goal and an assist. Volk had a pair of assists while Kramer, Schalk, and Jensen all had an assist. Brodyn Sutka had the shutout with 22 saves.

U18

Looking for another win, the U18 Oil Kings had two opportunities this past weekend. First up was a matchup against Claresholm on Saturday night. Both times filled the net, but it was Claresholm who was able to skate to a 9-5 victory. Aiden Farewell had three assists in the game while Kayden Kress had two goals, Konnor Wiebe had a goal and an assist, Kellen Lauwen and Blake Rabusic had singles, and Ryan Gray had an assist. Avery Remfert made 34 saves on 43 shots in the Oil King net.

On Sunday, Taber welcomed in Bow Island/Foremost, and unfortunately, the result was the same as the visitors took it 9-5. Kress had two goals and an assist, Kylan Odland had a goal and an assist, Carter Kerkhoff had two assists, Jasper Sidam and Gray had one goal apiece, and Farewell added another assist. Ty Dorin was the starter in net for Taber, making 41 saves on 50 shots.
