It was a one-game weekend for the U15 Suns as the team welcomed in the Olds Grizzlys on Saturday evening. Late in the first period, Mason Noble scored a power play goal from the Suns as Chase Stronge and Blake Smith collected an assist each. With a 1-0 lead going into the second, the Grizzlys answered with two of their own in the second period.

In the third, the Suns potted a power play goal off of Lincoln Weiss’ stick as Devin Groenenboom and Stronge had the assists. Seconds later, the Grizzlys would retake the lead. With under a minute to play, Stronge would score his second of the game to tie it and Noble and Weiss had the assists. The game would end tied 3-3. Griffin Stenger got the start in net and made 29 saves on 32 shots.

The U15s return to the ice this weekend for two home games. On Friday night at 8:15 p.m., the Foothills Bisons come to Taber and then on Saturday, the West Central Tigers are in town for a 5:30 p.m. puck drop.
