Golden Suns back on the ice for weekend full of games

All three ‘AA’ Taber Golden Suns teams were on the ice this past weekend as the South Central Alberta Hockey League continues towards the end of January. 


Two games over the weekend resulted in two more wins for the U13 Golden Suns as they continue to rack up points.

Saturday saw the team hit the road to Okotoks to take on Oilers Green. In a high scoring affair, the Suns would cruise to a 7-2 win. Nixen Miller had a goal and an assist, Devin Groenenboom had a pair of goals, while Liam Okell and Foster Weatherhead had a goal and an assist. Truett Moeller and Gracen Schooten each had a single goal and Mason Noble had an assist. Griffin Stenger faced 25 shots in the Suns’ net and turned away 23.
