Golden Suns teams see light weekend schedule

U13

The U13 Golden Suns saw another dip in their schedule this weekend as they didn’t have a game. The team currently sits in fourth place in the South Central Alberta Hockey League South Conference with four points in six games. Medicine Hat Hounds Black sits in first with 12 points.

The U13 team sees two games this coming weekend. On Oct. 29, the Suns hit the road for a matchup against Lethbridge Hurricanes Red. The Suns continue their road swing on Oct. 30 when they face off against Medicine Hat Hounds Orange which has a 3 p.m. puck drop.

U15

The U15 Golden Suns picked up their second win of the season this past weekend after a solid 7-1 win over the Foothills Bisons. The Suns picked up the win on the back of Nathan Planger’s hat trick and goals from Cohen Zasadny, Tyson Church, Garrett Janzen, and Tait Vermeersch.

Kayden Kress, Mason Seibel, Chase Stronge, Tage Jensen, Ty Hanson, Church, and Zasadny also collected an assist each.

Bowen Hann stopped 36 of 37 shots in net for the win.

The U15 Suns see next action on Oct. 30 when the Foothills Bisons come to Taber for a 5:30 p.m. puck drop.

U18

Like the U13 Golden Suns, the U18 team didn’t see any games this past weekend. The Suns currently sit in fourth place in the South Division with four points over five games. Medicine Hat currently leads the division with 14 points.

The next U18 Suns action comes on Oct. 30 in Taber where the Golden Suns take on the NWCAA Stamps. Puck drop is set for 8 p.m.
