Taber’s Makarchuk finishes in Top 50 at Alberta Open

Heading into the final day of the Alberta Open in Ponoka last week, Taberite Andrew Makarchuk saw himself tied for 63rd.

After shooting an 81 on the first day, Makarchuk corrected his form over the final two days shooting a 77 on the second and finally a 74 on the third, which netted him a total of 16 over par on the tournament and in a three-way tie for 47th.

When the dust finally settled, AJ Armstrong from Edmonton finished atop of the leaderboard as he shot seven under par.
