Taekwon-Do medals

There were plenty of medal moments for members of Merritts Ultimate Taekwon-Do at the Canadian National Championships in Regina, Saskatchewan earlier this month.

Leading the way was Jocelyn Planger who earned gold in both sparring and power breaking.

Planger earned a third medal, a bronze in patterns, on her way to Top Overall Junior Female Athlete.

Grace Holowiski took gold in specialty, while earning a trio of silver medals for patterns, sparring, and power breaking.

Abby Abela took gold medals in both patterns and sparring.

Evan Abela earned himself gold in sparring.

Valkyrie Szigli won gold for TKD Kids.

Tova Szigli earned bronze for sparring.

Karen Planger MacDonald won silver for patterns.

Finishing off medal finishes for locals was Aiden MacDonald taking bronze for sparring.
