Taber midget Oil Kings rallied to advance to the third round of provincial playdowns by winning the point series against Picture Butte Blades with a 9-5 victory over Picture Butte in its home-and-home series.
Peyton Poncelet had a hat trick and Cole McLelland tallied twice.
Nolan Tams, Jack Murphy, Dawson Hendricks and Joseph Fabbri had singles. Byron Kress had three assists and Spencer Phillips and Hendricks each had two helpers apiece.
In league play, the Oil Kings dropped a 4-2 decision to Raymond on Sunday at the Taber Arena.
Luke Bell and Phillips scored for the Oil Kings who got two assists from Hendricks.
ATOM: Taber atom Oil Kings earned a 9-5 victory over Magrath Chiefs on the road.
Chase Stronge and Nixen Miller each had hat tricks and Skylar Jensen tallied twice. Raiden Koizumi had a single.
Cruz Duell drew two assists.
