Taber bantam “AA” Golden Suns (2-16-1) dropped both of its games in South Central Alberta Hockey League play.
The first was a 4-1 loss to Okotoks Oilers (10-4-4) on Saturday evening at the Taber Arena.
Dylan Granson scored the lone Suns goal with an assist from John VandenElzen.
Ty Young faced 30 shots on goal in the loss in net for the Golden Suns.
The team then hit the road and dropped a 9-1 decision to Lethbridge Hurricanes (10-6-3) on Sunday afternoon.
Caden Heins scored for the Golden Suns with assists from Granson and VandenElzen.
Landon Porteous took the loss in net, facing 35 shots on goal.
Taber bantam “AA” Golden Suns have one more game before Christmas with a home game against Wheatland Warriors on Saturday at 12:45 p.m. at the Taber Arena. The team hosts the same Warriors on Jan. 5 at 8:30 p.m. at the Taber Arena.
MIDGET: Taber midget “AA” Golden Suns open up the New Year with a Jan. 5 game against Lethbridge Hurricanes at the Vauxhall Recreation Centre at 5:45 p.m. The team then hits the road for a Jan. 6 game against Medicine Hat Hounds and a Jan. 7 match against Foothills Bisons.
PEEWEE: Taber peewee “AA” Golden Suns return to South Central Alberta Hockey League play in the New Year on Jan. 7 with a home game against Chestermere Lakers at the Taber Arena at 1 p.m.
