Taber midget ‘A’ Oil Kings earned a single point in minor hockey league play this past weekend.
The squad started off with a 6-5 loss to Kainai on Saturday.
Dylan Jones potted two goals for the Oil Kings who got singles from Clay Leismeister, Logan Wiebe and Dustin McCraken. Mitchell Young had two assists and Spencer Phillips, Dallas Bodnar and Darian Hardy had single assists.
Sunday’s tilt saw a 3-3 draw with Foremost/Bow Island.
Wiebe, Ryan McDonald and Rory Murphy scored for Taber. Gavin Hoskins had two helpers and Wiebe, Leismeister and Ryan Hubble had single helpers.
INITIATION: Taber initiation 2 Oil Kings skated to a 13-7 win over Picture Butte on Sunday on the small ice of the Taber Arena.
Lincoln Wiebe, Jenner Workman and Julian Woordman all had hat tricks. Mikaelah Clingman had two tallies and Charley Fletcher and Dallin Langhofer had singles.
Fletcher and Clingman both had two assists apiece.
