Taber novice 2 Oil Kings went on to the second round of its hockey playoffs, winning its two-game point series with Vauxhall 12-7.
The Oil Kings were able to build a big point lead in its opening game with the Vauxhall Sabres in a 9-3 first-game win.
Nathan Planger had four goals and an assist with Evan Koizumi also potting four goals.
Langdyn Cummins had a goal and Kayden Kress had an assist. Sam Tolsma earned the win in net.
The Oil Kings dropped its second game 4-3 to Vauxhall, but won the series in overall points.
Planger, Blake Rabusic and Rex Bell all tickled the twine. Tolsma had two helpers and Koizumi had one. Kress was in net.
Taber novice 2 Oil Kings move onto the next round of playoffs against Raymond.
INITIATION: Taber initiation 1 Oil Kings blanked Bow Island 16-0 on the road on Saturday.
Nixen Miller, Chase Stronge, Maxwell Anderson, Cruz Duell and Lucas Kerkhoff all had hat tricks and Ryler Kiss notched a single.
