Vipers fair well in Nanton

Although small in numbers, a contingent of the Taber Vipers Swim Club did well at a meet in Nanton over the weekend.

“We only had seven swimmers attend, so it was quite a low number, but the seven that attended did fantastic,” said head coach Kaitlyn Kachmarski. “For being small, we definetely represented the swim club well, I thought.”

Kachmarski singled out Renae Saunders, Cadence Crowson, and Mikaela Crowson for special recognition for their performance at the Nanton Marlins Meet.

“We got two aggregates, so Renae Saunders and Isabelle Bennett both got the gold medal,” said Kachmarski.

The club will be in Fort Macleod this weekend for a meet, followed by the Crowsnest Pass Crowsnest the weekend of July 26.
