Taste of Taber App connecting citizens with food services

The Taste of Taber App provides people with access to tastes of Taber.

“It’s an app that showcases all the restaurants and food trucks in Taber and District, including Vauxhall, Grassy Lake, Hays,” said Anne Jensen, Office Manager for the Taber and District Chamber of Commerce. “It provides their address, phone number and menus.”

The app, Jensen says, was created in 2016 by a company called Contego Tech and the Taber Chamber of Commerce pays a yearly hosting and updating fee to keep the app working properly.

“It’s just one more way the Taber Chamber can help promote local businesses,” said Jensen. “The feedback is positive, and I feel restaurants appreciate the option to be on the app for free. We do not charge for the restaurants to be on the app nor do users have to pay to use the app.”

Jensen says that the Taste of Taber app is available on the Apple Store or Google Play Store as a free download for phones or tablets.
