On January 31 the M.D. of Taber will hold an open house to highlight their Transportation Master Plan at the Vauxhall Senior’s Centre in Vauxhall from 6 to 8 p.m.

A similar event was held on Jan. 30, the M.D. of Taber said, and was hosted at the MD of Taber’s Main Operations & Maintenance Facility in Barnwell from 6 to 8 p.m.

“The primary purpose of these Open Houses is to receive public participation and feedback for the M.D. of Taber’s inaugural Transportation Master Plan,” said the M.D. of Taber. “The plan will be a significant milestone in the region’s history and will shape the future of transportation infrastructure and services.”

Attendees, the M.D. said, shared their perspectives and feedback regarding the transportation infrastructure within the MD of Taber, and there were opportunities for questions and feedback to ensure community input is considered in the plan’s development.

“The Transportation Master Plan project is a first of its kind for the MD of Taber,” said the M.D. of Taber. “This project will evolve through research, community consultations, and collaboration with experts to address current and future transportation needs.”

The M.D. says that no registration was needed to attend the Open Houses, but those wishing to participate in an online Digital Engagement Session on February 7 are required to register in advance and interested individuals can RSVP by contacting Connor Smith, Al-Terra Engineering Engagement Lead, at 780-577-4225 or csmith@al-terra.com.

“These Open Houses and surveys present a unique opportunity for the community to actively participate in shaping the future of transportation within the MD of Taber,” said the M.D. of Taber. “The input and feedback received from residents is highly valued, and the success of this event relies on the collective involvement of the community. We look forward to your participation and feedback.”
