Chamber smiles upon local dental practice

The Taber and District Chamber of Commerce has selected Horizon Family Dental as Business of the Year. 

On Dec. 19, the Chamber will host an awards dinner to celebrate Horizon and the recipients of the Citizen of the Year and Spirit of Taber awards. Tara Jensen, office manager, said Dr. Jeremy Cooper took over the practice in 2014. Both Cooper and Jensen have been with the business since its days operating as Absolute Dental under previous ownership. The office now employs 18 staff, including three dentists, and opened a new office in July 2022 at 4102B Westview Blvd.

The practice offers cosmetic and pediatric dentistry, preventative and emergency care, oral surgery and SureSmile. The new building is state-of-the-art and described by the company website as “equipped with cutting-edge technologies that redefine your dental experience.” Jensen said the facility enhances the patient experience and Horizon’s image. 

“Our new building is just stunning. We don’t really have anything like it in Taber.”

What else makes the business tick? 

“First of all, Dr. Cooper’s a great guy,” Jensen said. “The staff really love him, love working for him, and patients love him too.” She said the staff create a welcoming atmosphere and the service creates a positive experience for patients. Testimonials from their website call the practice patient, friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable.
