Taber Public Library’s Jingle Sale will be held at Taber Community Centre Auditorium on Friday, November 17 from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday, November 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

“This is the Taber Public Library Board’s largest fundraiser and all proceeds will be used to provide free and accessible programming for the children, youth and adult community in Taber and surrounding areas,” Chris Vowles, Library Manager at the Taber Public Library, said.

Vowles says that the sale will feature tables of local vendors with all types of items for sale, a silent auction with donations generously accepted by the community, and there will also be a silver collection for a raffle of a basket of gifts. The event, Vowles says, is open to all ages and free to attend.

“This event helps the library in order to prepare for the programming that is offered to the community,” Vowles said. “The monies that we receive will go to purchase things needed in order to run these programs, without this, the library would not be able to offer these free programs.”

Vowles says that the Taber Public Library works with the Town of Taber and holds the event in conjunction with their Winter Festival. The Jingle Sale, Vowles says, has always had the wonderful support of the community for donating items for the event’s silent auction and volunteers to help run the event. The sale, Vowles says, has several returning vendors that love the Jingle Sale where they can display their talent and offerings.

“This event is great for the community to do some holiday shopping as well as the vendors that earn their living showcasing their talents,” Vowles said.
