With July soon coming to an end, Taber Public Library has plenty of events running in the upcoming month. Dawn Kondas, program coordinator at Taber Public Library, gave a rundown of what will be happening with events in August.

“The first part of August, we have a craft camp and we’ve run those in the past,” said Kondas. “It’s for ages six to 10 and they come every day, they do a different craft, and that is through volunteer.”

Craft camp was almost full at the time of the interview, so if you’re interested, please register at the front desk of the library as soon as possible.

“We are continuing with the circle time, which is a Low German story time for a couple more sessions in August. We’re doing one session of the open mic before we take a break from Cornfest and regroup.”

The Low German story time will be happening on Aug. 3, 10, and 17 at 10:30 a.m. with stories both in English and German. Where the open mic will only be happening on Aug. 13 from 1-3 p.m. The library does request you bring your own lawn chair, water, and other items for the open mic.

“Our Lego contest ends on August 18 and we’re on track for being what the average has been over the last couple of times.”
