The Taber Chamber of Commerce’s annual awards have swung around once again after being postponed to April 1, and Taber’s MyCityCare couldn’t be more thankful for being nominated for — and awarded the Spirit of Taber.
“MyCityCare started September 2019 in Taber. We’re a volunteer-based organization with a mission to come alongside our community for love and impact. It was originally based in Lethbridge, and came from the Parallel Church in Lethbridge and it has grown to multiple locations all over Alberta — Okotoks, Lloydminster, Medicine Hat, and Brooks. Our goal is to offer programs and initiatives to help provide the basic needs of individuals in our communities,” said Kelly Fehr.
MyCityCare runs a variety of programs throughout the year, however, Fehr commented their Christmas Shop of Wonders is most likely their biggest.
