The request of bringing potable water to White Ash Road residents has continued at the Municipal District of Taber as they gauge different solutions.
The original request was brought to council in March 2021 asking about receiving potable from the Town of Taber and asking if the M.D. would spearhead and coordinate such a project.
The discussion was revived at M.D. council’s Jan. 11 meeting after the subject was raised and discussed at an IDP Committee meeting with the Town of Taber. From that meeting, the Town did not indicate any significant concerns/challenges from a capacity perspective.
“I asked to have this brought back to the agenda because we have received a letter in April 2021. It went to IDP and then Arlos received another letter that was on an agenda item. We said it would go forward to Intermunicipal and residents brought forward some concerns and some requests,” said Deputy Reeve Tamara Miyanaga.
