After giving his CAO report during the regular March 28 meeting of the Municipal District of Taber council, Derrick Krizsan proposed that the M.D. give out a little souvenir this Canada Day.
“One other item I just wanted to throw out there, is we all received this Canada 150 pin from the AAMDC (Alberta Association of Municipal Districts and Counties). Kind of a neat idea, is there any desire to maybe do something like this with the M.D. of Taber on it, recognizing Canada 150? It’s a neat way to recognize… our own community, right?”
Council liked the idea of having a special Canada 150 pin. Reeve Brian Brewin floated the idea of using the M.D.’s flag on it, and double-checked with Krizsan that, “he had a couple of guys that could design something”, which Krizsan assured he did.
“It would be something we would like to do. It’s kind of a small way to recognize the (occasion),” said Krizsan.
Council passed a motion for administration to proceed on making a 150 M.D. pin.
