The 21st annual Telethon for Taber and District Health Foundation raised a total of $220,857.

“People responded very generously, and we were overwhelmed with the response,” said Dave McKee, TDHF fundraising coordinator. “All the donors that phone in; greatly, greatly appreciate it.”

He credits the success of this year’s telethon to the volunteers.

“The production, which the TV audience doesn’t see, went very smoothly behind scenes, and it was due to the volunteers that were with us. It just made it so much easier to accomplish.”

There were 21 acts in total this year, with new acts from Jacob Rose, The Eric Braun Band, Taber Police officers Graham Abela, Dave Gyepesi and Matt Shallo, Rachel CrowSpreadingWings, Sarah Lee and Godwin Salas.

The board has not yet decided what they are going to spend the money on, as there are no immediate, big-ticket items needed.
