CP Rail will close two rail crossings in the Taber/Barnwell area off Highway 3 for two
days each from November 24 to 27.
November 24 and 25
From 6 a.m. Monday, to approximately 6 p.m. on Tuesday, CP Rail
will close Highway 864 to repair the rail crossing. No traffic will be
allowed across the tracks overnight. Weather permitting; the work
will be completed Tuesday evening. Motorists should expect delays.
Detour
Traffic can use 64 Avenue in Taber to Highway 36 to Highway 3 to
cross the rail lines, while northbound traffic can use 64 Avenue in
Taber and Highway 36 to access Highway 834.
November 26 and 27
From 6 a.m. Wednesday to approximately 6 p.m. Thursday, CP Rail
will close Heritage Road at Highway 3A near Barnwell to repair the
rail crossing. No traffic will be allowed across the tracks overnight.
Weather permitting; the work will be completed Thursday evening.
Detour
Traffic can use Range Road 175 and Township Road 94B to cross
the rail lines.
