Taking up the cause of the unborn

Dear Editor:

There is celebration in Turkey and around the world of the miracle of baby ‘Aya’ – still connected by her umbilical cord to her mother – being rescued. Indeed it is a miracle!! Then there is the hypocrisy here in Canada as countless babies are aborted every day – still connected by their umbilical cords to their mothers – including baby Daniel at 38 weeks – aborted earlier this month. These babies are discarded like unwanted garbage and it should make us all weep and call for a law to end this senseless taking of lives. We need to be the voice of unborn children in Canada.
