Aquafun employees need service focus

Posted on July 2, 2014 by Taber Times

I have been holding this in for a while and have wanted to say this.

I recently spent time in the pool with my children and I was embarrassed to see how the life guards treated people. They are paid to take care of children, to help children and to make sure they are safe.

Instead Taber has the worst lifeguards! They are always angry, rude, treat parents and people like we owe them something. I was at the other end of the pool when a little boy was drowning, instead of helping the little boy, the life guard started yelling at some woman who also helped. She wasn’t even the child’s parent.

The lifeguard lectured the woman and then walked away mumbling and making rude comments. She then grabbed a life jacket off the tiles as a child was reaching for it and pulled it away and hung it up. When the child went back, she got talked to by the lifeguard as she roughly put it on her.

Now to me this is ridiculous, and unfortunately we apparently just have to take it, but the fact that Taber as a community is allowing their community employees to act as such is embarrassing. I love it here, but it seriously shows a lack of care for the community. Are the Spray Park attendants going to be this rude and ignorant, if so, Taber should re-think it, and hire appropriate people!
