Caregivers at Linden View are top notch

Dear Editor:

This letter is to reflect my great gratitude to the caregivers at Linden View in Taber. My mom Mary was a resident for eight years. I always felt she had people around her who cared and took their responsibility seriously. It is hard as a child to put your aging parent in the care of others. No one is perfect, that is sure, but it is the heart of the caregiver that makes the difference. I felt my mom was loved and cared for by people who genuinely wanted to make a difference. Over the years, there were many who got close to my mom. Nurses, LPNs, therapists, and two very special recreation therapists.

COVID made the situation tremendously harder. Many tears of pain and frustration fell as they continue to try to do their best. Week after week after week they struggled to care for and keep safe the people in their care. Thank you to Kara, Connie, Jen, Sam, and so many others. You made the past eight years bearable, and even gave me a few good memories to carry with me. With great gratitude, I thank you.
