Provincial government to blame

Dear Editor:

Those of us from the world of finance, who had ties to the oil industry have got sick and tired of all the whining by Albertans about their municipal governments not doing a good job.

The fact is they are blaming the wrong people and should be blaming these phoney conservatives. Reformers who don’t care about anyone other than themselves and their rich friends and Jason Kenney has certainly proven it.

While cutting billions off corporate taxes for their rich friends they are making it impossible to supply proper funding to the municipalities, like Lougheed did, which would have allowed these local governments to conduct their affairs in a reasonable manner and keep our property taxes in line.

Instead, Kenney is forcing us into another round of financial disaster for our doctors, nurses and teachers, like Klein did, and once again it will cost some people their lives, with lawsuits likely to follow.

In addition, taxes we pay per litre at the pumps to provide us with proper road repair is going into general revenues to make up for their stupid tax cuts for their rich friends.
