There seems to be no end of these phoney conservatives treating Albertans like morons.
Deliberately trying to destroy everything Lougheed created for us, while they look after their own well-being and that of their rich friends — just like the former MLAs from the Lougheed era taught me they would. You can’t trust a reformer — was their cry.
Lougheed’s energy minister Bill Dickie was a brother-in-law of one of my uncles and we know none of this stupidity would be happening under their watch.
It isn’t happening anywhere else in Canada, or Norway or Alaska — as they continue to build up their huge savings accounts for their children’s future, while we let these reformers give ours away.
Now, we hear they want to cut more jobs by privatizing our land titles offices and after cutting our taxes by $9 billion for the rich, over the next few years, and wasting $1.5 billion by ignoring what Joe Biden was telling them. They know they have to make up for their stupidity somehow, so the RCMP are their targets. Privatization is the plan, dump the costs onto the backs of the people and ignore what it’s going to cost them.
While Ottawa pays for training them, provides them with their equipment, vehicles, uniforms, etc., along with 30 per cent of all their wage costs to the provinces, they want us to pay 100 per cent and they don’t care what it will do to our property taxes.
Take it from someone who spent 32 years in the world of finance — our property taxes will skyrocket and they don’t care.
