It was a two-game weekend for the Southern Alberta Chaos as they looked to move up the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League Tier II standings. Saturday saw the team welcome in the Calgary Bandits to being the weekend. This one was all Chaos as they took an 8-0 lead in the first and never relented. When the final buzzer sounded, the Chaos took home a 32-5 victory. Austin Sheen had seven goals and six assists, Michael Dyck had five goals and eight assists, Connor Materi scored eight times and added three assists, and Devon Robichaud and Colton Litke each had two goals and seven assists. Jett Matisho scored once and had seven assists, Carter Kerkhoff had a hat trick and two assists, Hunter Skrove had two goals and two assists, and Ryder Douglas had a pair of goals and an assist. Rounding out the scoring was Hael Maxwell-Lyster with two assists and Parker Forrest, Dagrin Bahr-Hemsing, and Grant Petronech had an assist each in the win.
After a big win to begin the weekend, Sunday afternoon saw the Chaos take on the Calgary Wranglers. Once again, it was the Chaos that took a big early lead and they once again cruised to a win — this time 15-6. Sheen led the way with four goals and four assists while Dyck had four goals and two assists, and Devon Robichaud had a goal and five assists. Brady Weasel Fat had three assists, Matisho scored a pair and added an assist, Litke scored and had two assists, and Dash Robichaud, Ty Hanson, and Forrest had a goal and an assist. Kerkhoff notched a pair of assists, and Carter Foote, Cameron Greenley, and Jaxon Buscholl all had an assist.
The Chaos currently lead the Jr. B Tier II South Division with an 8-1 record. They’ve scored 160 goals and allowed 53. Next action for the Chaos comes on Saturday when they head to Didsbury to take on the Mountainview Stingers at 2:30 p.m.
