TGFC competed at Strathmore Silhouettes Mother’s Day Invitational

Taber Gymnastics Fitness Club

The Taber Gymnastics Fitness Club competed at the “Strathmore Silhouettes Mother’s Day Invitational” the weekend of May 9-11. Our athletes did an incredible job competing as this was Strathmore’s first time hosting a competition. 

All of our Bronze gymnasts came home with gold medals! It is broken down by age categories. Layla Hudson with 2nd place on floor, 1st on vault, 7th on bars and 2nd on beam, 2nd overall! Haven Anderson with 3rd on floor, 4th on vault, 6th on bars and 3rd on beam bringing home 3rd overall! Ella Erickson with 2nd on floor, 2nd on vault, 2nd on bars and first on beam scoring a 9.7/10, highest beam score out of our bronze team on beam all year, she brought home 2nd all around, way to go Ella! Zaylee Silver with 1st on floor, 2nd on vault, 1st on bars, 2nd on beam bringing home 1st all around, nice job Zaylee! Violet Stoddart with 3rd on floor, 1st on vault (also a 9.7/10) score, 3rd on bars and 5th on beam bringing back 3rd all around! Brittyn Johnson with 3rd on floor, 3rd on vault, 6th on bars, and 4th on beam bringing back 4th all around! Hadley Heck with 4th on floor, 2nd on vault, 1st on bars and 4th on beam bringing home 2nd overall! Aubrey Ross with 7th on floor, 4th on vault, 9th on bars, 3rd on beam and 5th all around! 

Our Silver gymnasts did an incredible job competing. Cora Brugger bringing home 4th on floor, 3rd on vault, 1st on bars (scoring a 9.7) and 1st on beam, winning 1st all around! Every Jensen with 4th on floor, 1st on vault, 6th on bars and 8th on beam bringing home 4th overall! Gracie Kuryvial had a personal best at this competition, 4th on floor, 2nd on vault, 1st on bars and 3rd on beam bringing home 1st all around in her age category! Georgia Nakamura with 1st on floor, 1st on vault, 2nd on bars and 5th on beam winning 2nd all around! Allison Visser with 5th on floor, 5th on vault, 3rd on bars and 1st on beam bringing home 4th all around! Livy Rabusic with 2nd on floor, 2nd on vault, 2nd on bars and 4th on beam bringing home 3rd all around! Miranda Brunn-Ross came home with 1st on floor, 4th on vault, 1st on bars, 6th on beam, taking home 1st all around! What an incredible job silvers! 

Finally, our Gold gymnasts had a bit tougher competition but still came out on top! Seviya Anderson with 4th on floor, 7th on vault, 6th on bars and 2nd on beam taking home 4th overall! Lauren Visser with 2nd on floor, 4th on vault, 1st on bars and 1st on beam taking home 1st overall! Nikki Kielstra with 3rd on floor, 3rd on vault, 2nd on bars and 6th on beam with 3rd overall! 

Madalynn Kuryvial is our highest level athlete at Platinum. She came back with 6th on floor, 1st on vault, 5th on bars and 4th on beam with 3rd overall! 

We are so proud of our gymnasts! These girls keep amazing us coaches every competition, showing us their hard work, perseverance, dedication and love of gymnastics. 

We have one competition left this season at the end of May in Fernie, B.C. Stay tuned.
