With the Southern Alberta Chaos on the road this past weekend, they hoped to solidify their position in the Rocky Mountain Lacrosse League standings with the final weekend of regular season games approaching.
The team was on the road on Saturday afternoon as they took on the High River Heat to kick off
the weekend. The Chaos would score early and often as they streamrolled the heat with a 19-2
victory. Connor Materi had five goals and five assists, Austin Sheen had two goals and seven assists, Ty Hynes scored five and had a pair of assists, and Ty Hanson had two goals and five assists. Other offence came from Hunter Skrove, who had two goals and an assist, Parker
Forrest had two goals, Brady Weasel Fat, Asher Pancoast, Brock Higa, and Jaxon Buscholl each had a pair of assists, Jett Matisho had a single goal, and Ethan Sewall had an assist.
The final game of the weekend saw the Chaos take on the high-powered Calgary Wranglers.
Despite making a comeback in the final two periods, the Chaos could not match the Wranglers’ output as they fell 12-6. Matisho had a goal and three assists, Hynes had a goal and an assist, Materi had two goals, Sheen had two assists, Forrest and Hael Maxwell-Lyster had a goal each, and Hanson, Weasel Fat, Grant Petronech, and Ryal Maxwell-Lyster each notched an assist.
This coming weekend sees the end of the RMLL regular season.
The Chaos hit the road on Saturday to take on the Calgary Bandits (7-8) at 12:30 p.m. The following day, the Chaos line up against the Strathmore Reno (6-8). The Chaos currently sit in third place with an 8-6 record. The Calgary Wranglers are at the top of the standings with a 12-2 record while the Rocky View Range are second sitting at 10-6.
