The U16 Wham volleyball team has been busy this spring with plenty of action and this weekend saw another great weekend of play for the team.
Heading to Brooks for a tournament, the group was looking to rebound from last weekend where they placed fifth in a premiere in Edmonton. The team was locked in to begin the tournament and they went undefeated in a busy round robin on Saturday.
“Once again, the girls had a great weekend. It was a really long day for them playing seven games on Saturday. We had a five-team pool and were able to go undefeated in pool play, securing first place,” explained coach Carolyn Siemens.
After a dominant beginning to the tournament, Wham was hopeful to continue that pace in the playoff rounds. In the quarter-final, the team matched up with Domedefenders White, who they had already beaten earlier on Saturday.
