Kings capture Outlaws

Taber midget Oil Kings skated to a 6-4 victory over Bassano Outlaws on Friday night on the road.

Grady Honess tallied two goals and two assists in the win. Cole McClelland recorded a goal and two assists. Ryan Mankow and Jayce Jensen each registered a goal and an assist. Josh Verloop rounded out the goal scoring for the Oil Kings.

PEEWEE: Taber peewee Oil Kings suffered a 13-5 defeat at the hands of Coaldale in Central Alberta Hockey League play at the Taber Arena on Saturday.

Brant Allen, Kyler Marchuk, Connor Eldridge, Kellen Lauwen and Walker Skiba all scored goals for the Oil Kings as the team managed 47 shots on net.

ATOM: Taber atom Oil Kings played two games on the weekend which included a 9-2 loss to Duchess Storm at home.

Chase Stronge had a goal and an assist. Kayden Kress also scored.

The team managed a 10-0 shutout of Lethbridge Hurricanes at the Taber Arena on Saturday afternoon.

NOVICE: Taber novice Oil Kings 50-KM fell 10-6 to Lethbridge on Saturday at the Taber Arena. Emmett Ruggles potted the hat trick while teammates Brodyn Sutka, Jackson Jones and Nathan Gensorek all had singles.

James Ruggles helped out with two assists.

Taber Oil Kings hit the road on Saturday and earned an 11-8 win over Bassano Outlaws. Ethan Volk had two assists.

Stronge tickled the twine four times in the victory. Sam Tolsma and Nathan Planger each tallied twice. Tage Jensen and Rex Bell each had singles.

The team returned home on Sunday and skated to a 7-3 win over Coaldale Cobras at the Taber Arena on Sunday morning.

Nixen Miller scored five more times and Degraw and Kellon Schalk had singles.

Nixen Miller powered the Oil Kings with five goals. Dane Degraw had the hat trick and Raiden Koizumi, Heston Hansen, and Madix Miller each had singles.
