The Highway 3 rivalry will make another pre-season pit stop in Taber this September.
While the Medicine Hat Tigers will not play a game in the Canalta Centre until the puck officially drops on the regular season, they’ll face off against the rival Lethbridge Hurricanes at the Taber Arena on Sept. 1 as one of five pre-season contests.
Medicine Hat’s pre-season will begin on Sept. 1 at the Enmax Centre to start off a proverbial home-and-home series, with the Tigers taking last change the next day in Taber.
Lethbridge won last season’s matchup at the Taber Community Centre by a 4-3 margin thanks in part to a two-goal game from graduated captain Tyler Wong.
The Tigers will host another home game on Sept. 8 against the Moose Jaw Warriors, though they have yet to specify a location for the matchup.
Medicine Hat will close out the exhibition docket with games in Moose Jaw on Sept. 9 and in Red Deer against the Rebels on Sept. 16.
