W.R. Myers Rebels boys basketball team fell 88-74 to the Eastglen Blue Devils in the consolation final at 3A provincials in Olds this past weekend.
Blake Bullock scored a team-high 19 points and Tate Platt hit for 13. Michael Johnson added 11 points and Bradley Marsden chipped in 10.
The Rebels started off its tournament run as the eighth-seed, knocking off Onoway Mustangs 62-46 last Thursday. Bullock had 16 points and Johnson and Josh Mouland both had 15 points apiece.
The team proceeded to fall to Strathcona Christian Eagles 95-69 in the late game Thursday night.
Platt poured in 16 points for the Rebels who got 10 apiece from Cole Layton and Marcus Andrus.
The team rebounded with a 71-65 win over St. Peter Spartans on Friday to get to the consolation final.
Mouland had 15 points and Marsden added 12. Platt and Bullock both had 11 points apiece and Johnson chipped in 10.
