“We came out with a lot of energy early and scored some early goals that gave us the fuel we needed to continue to succeed in the game. “It definitely seemed like we were playing a little bit better, but in the third period they were playing with a little more desperation and with a lot less restrictions and fear, where they challenged us,” said Beckett. “They came back and scored some goals, so I think we were more equal than the score showed. Their goalie played really, really well facing a lot of shots and our goalie saved us a few times, where they had some breakaways. It was a closer game than the scoreboard showed.”

It makes you play that slow, patient game, which was good for our kids to be part of.”
