The 26th annual Easter Egg Hunt is set to bring excitement and joy to the children of Taber on Saturday, April 4, starting at 10 am in Confederation Park. Hosted by the Kinsmen Club of Taber, this community tradition is set to deliver a morning filled with fun, chocolate, and prizes. There are three bikes to win (across three age categories) and more than 10,000 eggs to collect.
Over the years, the event has grown in popularity, with an average attendance of 250 children and some years seeing more than 300 participants. This year, organizers are expecting another fantastic turnout as families gather to celebrate the Easter season.
The event kicks off with registration, where children are grouped by age categories. Once the horn blows, the hunt begins, and the excitement is palpable as kids race to collect as many of the 10,000+ eggs as they can. The eggs are often scooped up in mere minutes, with the entire event wrapping up in about two hours from start to finish.
In addition to the thrill of the hunt, participants have the chance to win some incredible prizes. Three $250 gift cards, intended for purchasing bikes, will be awarded through random draws in each age group. Registration ensures every child has their name entered into the draw. Other prizes include gift baskets donated by the Taber Fire Department, filled with items kids are sure to love. Participants must be present to claim the prizes.
Be sure to bring a camera! Special guests include the Easter Bunny and his friends!
The Kinsmen Club of Taber has been organizing the Easter Egg Hunt for the past four years, and the event has only grown bigger and better under their leadership. This year’s hunt is made possible by the generous support of local sponsors, whose contributions help cover the cost of the thousands of chocolates and other event essentials.
The event continues to be a highlight of the year for local families, bringing the community together for a morning of laughter, chocolate, and cherished memories.
Mark your calendars and don’t miss out on this egg-citing event!
