A new local company has added a mobile twist to the popular culinary field of charcuterie.
Grazers & Co. Gourmet Charcuterie was started in 2025 and their mobile catering cart has already been making steady appearances at regional events.
“Grazers & Co. has been operating for the past four months, we had a soft launch to gain important feedback directly from consumers on flavour, packaging, and value. Since then, business has been great,” said Carissa Miller, co-founder and hospitality with Grazers & Co. “We’ve been to multiple events including bridal showers, anniversary parties, and birthdays, we were invited and served at Badlands Harley Davidson Customer Appreciation and we had a tent at Taber Cornfest 40th Anniversary.”
Perfect for any occasion, the mobile cart is available for baby and bridal showers, bachelorettes, weddings, birthdays, retirement parties, corporate events and basically anywhere its services might be welcomed.
“We focus on fully customizable charcuterie spreads as hired caterers; we come in to any event whether that be full service charcuterie shots (a sampler), cups (an appetizer) or boxes (a meal) and we also do flat or raised grazing tables and boards where we beautifully craft all the meats, cheeses, fruit, nuts, savoury and sweet accompaniments,” said Miller.
On the move in the area, the mobile cart is available to be booked almost anywhere in the region.
“The local area is fantastic as we service all of southern Alberta! So far we have been to Taber, Barnwell, Vauxhall and Medicine Hat but we are willing and able to travel west of Lethbridge all the way to the Crowsnest Pass,” said Miller.
While others may offer similar products, Miller argues the unique concept of mobility makes the business stand apart from competitors.
“As for competition, there are a few other businesses doing charcuterie however we are entirely unique to the area having a mobile catering cart that can fit anywhere from a large wedding venue to someone’s back deck.”
Quality of service and building customer loyalty is almost a byword for Miller’s business ethos.
“It’s incredibly important to us and the backbone of what we do, to offer the best service and quality in everything we do. We came up with this idea to offer a completely unique experience to serve delicious gourmet spreads. To date, the majority of our bookings has come from word of mouth as everyone has been very excited and pleased with the service, the cart, and quality of food, so they show and tell all their friends or even ask to book us right at the event! We also do online marketing and offered a summer promotion, we constantly evaluate ways to create opportunities for added value in the future.”
While currently focused on the core service, with success may come expansion, says Miller.
“Speaking of the future we are very excited for what’s to come! With a busy Christmas party season around the corner we are taking bookings now and we also have the brand new Taber Bridal Expo to look forward to in the New Year! We are already looking to expand into a bar cart service feature as well as candy/sweet cart, and even looking into breakfast/lunch spreads for corporate events!”
For Miller, keeping the family touch involved in the business is important.
“Our family has been involved in food and beverage and hospitality for over 35 combined years and working entrepreneurs for even longer. Our mother and daughters team aims to offer everyone we serve the quality, care, attention to detail, presentation and delicious food that we ourselves would expect.”
