Taber municipal election forum set for Oct. 1

The Taber and District Chamber of Commerce has set Oct. 1 as the date for a Municipal Election All Candidates Forum at the Taber Legion Hall at 7 p.m.

The forum will be moderated by Chamber president Jared Bell. Questions can be sent in advance to taberchamber@gmail.com.

Nomination day is Monday, Sept. 22 at 12 p.m. The official list of candidates will be posted 24 hours later, on September 23.

TFD respond to dumpster fire 

After receiving a report from a vigilant caller, Taber firefighters responded to their 225th call to service for the year at approximately 8:18 p.m. on Sept. 12, effectively containing a dumpster fire in an alley in the 5400 block of 50 Avenue.

The fire is still under investigation.
