The 2025 Taber Municipal Election is coming this October, and the nomination period is open. Until Nomination Day, the Town will share resources to help you decide if running for Council is right for you.

Register to vote for the 2025
municipal election 

All voters for the 2025 municipal election in Taber must be on the permanent Electors Registry. Register before August 15 to ensure you’re on the Registry for the October Election. To register or check your registration status, visit the Voter Link website below. The Town of Taber receives its list of eligible voters from Voterlink, so please confirm your information is correct to ensure you’re ready to vote in October. Registering online and making sure you are on the List of Electors can help streamline the voting process on Election Day. 

If you do not register before the deadline, or register after it, you will still be able to vote – you can register at the voting station on Election Day.

I have voted before in municipal elections. Why do I need to register?

This is a new requirement by the Province that municipalities must abide by. If you voted in a previous election, you may already be registered, but it’s always good to confirm.

The 2025 ASB Gopher (RGS) Impact Survey is now open. This survey is designed to gather critical municipal data on the impact of gopher (Richardson’s Ground Squirrel) infestations across agricultural lands.

Your input will help provide a clear and credible summary to the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, with the goal of encouraging timely action to support Prairie producers facing increasingly severe pest damage.
