The Spring Community Job Fair will take place on March 13 at the Heritage Inn in Taber from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“The purpose of the job fair is to connect persons searching for jobs with employers and their hiring managers,” said Shehzad Bandukda, Executive Director of the Taber and District Community Adult Learning Association (TDCALA).
Bandukda says that a potential employer only has to reach out to Taber and District Community Adult Learning Association, and confirm their physical participation in the job fair and they will be provided with a table.
Job seekers, on the other hand, Bandukda says, only have to register with TDCALA’s employment services, which is formally known as the Taber Employment Assistance (TEA) Program in Taber; and interested parties can register by calling us during business hours at (403) 223-1169.
Bandukda observes that there has been ‘a significant improvement and attendance’ to the job fair during the last couple of years with the previous one attracting over 100 job seekers. This year, Bandukda says, several organizations will be registered for the fair, including Prairie Gold, Serfos Farms, No Frills, MacDonalds, UniFirst, AG-Quest, Select People Solutions, Pinnacle Plants and Contracting Ltd., Firehouse Subs, Technotrash, Horizon School Division, PGS Equipment, Good Samaritan Society, Witdouck Farms, VIP Kids, Vanee Farm Centre Ltd., Tim Hortons, Southland Contracting Inc., and Close to Home Community Services, who are already registered.
