Holiday Smile Cookie proceeds to Taber Food Bank Society

The Taber Food Bank Society has been selected as a recipient of Tim Hortons’ Holiday Smile Cookie Campaign fundraiser.

“From November 18 to 24, 2024, 100 per cent of proceeds from each Holiday Smile Cookie sold in Taber, Alberta will help to support the Taber Food Bank and Tim Hortons Foundation Camps,” said Naomi Wiebe, Manager of the Taber Food Bank Society. “The funds will be utilized for food bank programs, which will help benefit our community members that are struggling with food insecurity.”

Wiebe says that people were also invited to sign up online to volunteer for two-hour time slots to help decorate and package cookies. 

Wiebe says that the Taber Tim Hortons first reached out to the food bank in 2023 and offered to work with the Taber Food Bank on the Holiday Smile Cookie Campaign.

“We were excited to accept and are happy to be invited back again for 2024!” said Wiebe. “We are thrilled to be working with our local Tim Hortons for the second year.”

According to the Holiday Smile Cookie Campaign Website: https://www.timhortons.ca/holiday-smile-cookie, the Holiday Smile Cookie is a white-chocolate sugar cookie with red and green sprinkles baked into it, and each cookie is hand-decorated with a ‘perfectly-imperfect’ white smile. 

Each Holiday Smile Cookie, the website states, is $1.50 each plus tax. More information about the cookies and the campaign can be found on the website.
