Coffee with Council will take place on Wednesday, October 2 at the M.D. of Taber Main Operations and Maintenance Facility from 7 to 8:30 p.m. just west of Taber.
“Coffee with Council is an initiative designed to foster open communication between the MD of Taber Council and residents,” said Arlos Crofts, Chief Administrative Officer for the M.D. of Taber. “This is an informal gathering where residents can voice their opinions, ask questions, and engage directly with Council members. Topics will range from ongoing projects and community concerns to future initiatives within the M.D. of Taber.”
Coffee with Council, Crofts says, began in 2023 as a way to create a more accessible and relaxed environment for discussing local issues, and since its inception, these sessions have become a platform for both Council and the community to exchange ideas and strengthen relationships. The sessions typically take place quarterly, Crofts says.
“Residents have responded positively to the Coffee with Council events and appreciate Council’s presence in the various communities and hamlets throughout the municipality,” said Crofts. “The informal setting encourages participation, and many appreciate the opportunity to engage directly with Council members outside of formal meetings. The feedback has been constructive, and attendance has varied from session to session. We encourage residents to attend Coffee with Council sessions. It’s a valuable opportunity to connect with your elected representatives, share your perspective(s), and play an active role in shaping the future of the M.D. of Taber.”
