Alberta leads in job growth again: Minister Schow

Once again, Alberta is leading the nation, adding 28,700 jobs in November 2025. This is more than half the total number of jobs created across all of Canada.

For three months in a row, our province has shown we remain the best place to live, work and raise a family. Most notable is that since this time last year, Alberta has added more than 105,000 jobs, showing a positive trend that is catching up to our rapid population growth.

Youth unemployment is an issue faced by every jurisdiction in Canada, with Alberta feeling exceptional pressure due to high immigration and interprovincial migration. Now, we have the fifth lowest unemployment rate among youth at 13.5 per cent and a general unemployment rate that is in line with the national average. This follows our announcement of the Alberta Youth Employment Incentive and our ongoing calls to the federal government to bring immigration under control, particularly among entry-level workers.

Nearing the end of 2025, our government looks forward to seeing this growth continue in 2026 as we keep attracting major investments here in Alberta. The truth is, Alberta always has been and will continue to be the best place in Canada to call home, offering more affordable living, and great jobs that can help Albertans get ahead.

We are hopeful and optimistic that even in the face of challenges, Alberta’s economy and job creation remains strong.

   Who do you think you are fooling when it’s been this way in Alberta for years. You aren’t telling us something we didn’t already know. You screwed us out of a $33 billion investment, and 24,000 jobs when you refused to allow the green energy industry to proceed, didn’t you?
   What we want to know is how your government is going to pay for the $89 billion debt you created, along with massive oil well cleanup mess, and the billions in deficits to pay for road and bridge repairs along with the building of 60 new schools you created by inviting people from the rest of Canada to move to Alberta?
   The disrespect you have shown for our children and grandchildren’s future is disturbing and us true conservatives have seen enough of it, which is why these Recalls have been started.
   Your lies about funding a two tiered healthcare system from public funds is a farce when you don’t have the money to do it, isn’t it? How are you going to keep doctors and nurses working in rural Alberta when they can make a lot more money working in these Private Facilities in the cities, it can’t be done, can it?

     These are a few more of the stupidity we have witnessed by your phoney conservatives, Reform Party government .
     How do you intend to repay Albertans for the millions of dollars you wasted on the children’s cold medicine, trying to kick out the RCMP, trying to steal our Canada Pension Plans and the millions you wasted on settling the coal industry lawsuits you created by destroying Lougheed’s protection on our mountains.
