Needed changes at Taber Trout Pond

Mayor Prokop and Town of Taber Recreation Board:

Taber Trout Pond (a great looking place) should be renamed Taber Pond.

The first year or two was great for fly fishing and bait fishing – the last four years not so good. Just recently stocked with 5,000 trout. Where have the trout gone? Are we just feeding the pelicans and cormorants?

There are a lot of fishermen in Taber and surrounding area who would like to camp but have to travel to other areas.

Don’t spend more money on a picnic shelter or don’t build at all! Use that $87,000 on a fish stocking program – do it right, put 20,000 fish in (quality plus quantity).
