Who is the bully?

Posted on November 27, 2013 by Taber Times

It’s rather tragic that we in the western democracies are rapidly approaching the same pressures that are being experienced in the Middle East. So who is the bully? Is it the people that for the last 30 years or so have recited the Lord’s Prayer at the beginning of class at school, or is it the people demanding the expulsion of the Lord’s Prayer from the classroom which will also mean the expulsion of any Christmas functions?

Why is that an elected government in Ottawa wants to govern with a majority, otherwise the minority in Ottawa should be the government. Wouldn’t that be an interesting  experience, likely ending any future elections.

I suppose a two bell system could accommodate all ideologies. The first bell would call all children of the Christian faith to the classroom at 9 a.m., and the Lord’s Prayer could be recited. A second bell would ring at 9:05 a.m. which would then call non-believers into the classroom and then the class would be called to order. All groups would be accommodated hopefully.

It was said recently that there are 54 different religious faiths in Lethbridge. Accommodating all of them would indeed be a religious experience.
