With a blend of friendly employees, commitment to quality of service and an extensive product line-up of supplies to meet any need, Taivin Supply Inc. has secured the Taber and District Chamber of Commerce’s Customer Service Excellence Award for 2025.

Started in 2011 and taking over their present main customer service office (6200 64 Street) in 2012, Taivin offers supplies for ag, hydraulic, oilfield, safety, industrial, rigging, hand and power tools and everything in between.

“We’re very, very proud – we didn’t expect it,” said co-owner and operator Cole McCracken. “So it caught us off guard, for sure, but very happy that it’s noticed that we try to provide the best customer service we can perfect.”

Commitment to quality of service has been a mainstay for Taivin since its inception, and the company has earned a regional reputation for excellent products and being a go-to for local businesses looking for a variety of different supplies.

“Very honoured that we’ve been recognized for it, because that is one of our core values,” said co-owner and operator Joel Mills. “As far as our partnership goes, I think that is fuel for the fire – trying to make sure that our community and our people get the best we can offer. Never say never, we can get it.”

A recent addition for the company is the new Taivin Warehouse/Taivin Storage. Located in Taber’s industrial area, the facility is currently being utilized for winter RV and other storage needs for the community.

“We just started that about a year and a half ago,” said McCracken. “First year is a little slow, but we’ve got ‘er filled up now, boats, RVs, fifth wheels, classic cars, kind of anything, really, that needs to be stored inside of a climate-controlled, rodent-safe space. We’ve even got a 10,000 square foot food safe bay. There’s a loading dock as well. So we’re just trying to expand on that much as we can, slowly getting the ball rolling there.”

Mills highlighted what he thinks makes the company stand out from other competitors in the region.

“I mean, it’s everything. We’re honoured to be able to wake up every day, come to work, see our friends, see our people, our community, try to put a smile on their face and try to provide them with everything they need. And when we say supply, it’s a very broad term. We try to get our customers whatever they need, whenever they need it. Anything.”

Mills says the top-notch service people have come to expect from Taivin fits perfectly into his own personal ethos.

“This award fits with everything I’ve ever done again, providing our services to this community and providing all that we can to this community has always been utmost in my day-to-day life, and I get to wake up every day and come down here and service the people in the community. And it’s very important. So I just want to say thank you to the town, and thank you to the people.”

The 2025 Taber Chamber of Commerce Awards Dinner and Presentation will take place on January 23 at the STAR on 54th in Taber.
