Dear Editor:
My take on it is that the 2022 Supreme Court decision is correct in overturning the decision they made 50 years ago. The Constitution states “Every human being has the right to life, liberty, and the security of the person.” The misconception that (the Times) has is that life begins after the baby is completely out of the mom’s birth canal. The (Times) must be afraid to look at pictures of babies in the womb who already have all the functional body parts that I and (you) have. And they are moms, I can’t imagine a society without loving motherhood, in tandem with dad’s. Neither one is as you say “secondary” — it takes both a man and a woman to procreate, and to snuff out that life is immoral.
Canada is blessed with a healthcare system caring for young and old. And the immoral statement you made “How can we claim to value human beings when people who give birth have no choice but to die in the absence of medically-necessary healthcare services?” — that’s disgusting.
