Visitors bring spring joy

Dear Editor:

Last Friday morning, I was surprised to witness outside of my west den window the visit of a muley doe accompanied by a four-point buck with his antlers in velvet. After several minutes of feeding on my greenery they moved on. Shortly after noon, the doe reappeared to show off her twin fawns still with their spots. Maybe she was looking for a place to hide them!

After poking around “Aspen Grove” for a few minutes they headed off south at a fast gait. Twas great to witness nature’s evidence of spring and rebirth in a world so beset with racism, hatred and mass shootings!
